A note on GM supply chain issues
The factory GM light switches we use in this kit are usually on backorder. We are always working to obtain more switches, but ultimately we are at the mercy of GM’s supply chains and are unable to provide accurate ETAs at this time. However, we can now build a kit for you if you have a 2-button switch and send it into us. See below for more info.

If you already have a compatible OEM GM switch in your possession…

We can now put together a kit for you if you want to send your compatible switch to us so we can perform the modifications and build you a harness. We would give you a credit on the order equal to the amount you paid for the light switch up to $100 (shipping and taxes will NOT be credited). You will need to provide a commercial invoice showing your name and information on it, along with the matching part number and the amount paid in order to verify.

Note: We do not use the factory switch that came with your truck. The customer will need to buy one of the switches listed above and send it in to us. We modify that switch, add our custom harness, and send it back to the customer. The customer then installs our setup and discards the factory switch.

Want to add extra lighting to your 2015-2022 Chevrolet Colorado or GMC Canyon but don’t want to drill into the dash and add a crappy aftermarket switch? Look no further. Our slick OE-Style Auxiliary Light Switch Kits utilize factory GM Original Equipment switches, feature top quality components, and require no cutting of your factory harness.

This kit is designed to use a modified OE GM headlight switch to power the coil on an aftermarket relay (not included). All connections are only for the auxiliary circuit(s) and will not change factory headlight operation. The auxiliary circuit bypasses the BCM and has no way of indicating that the circuit is on; it will not display the OEM light indicator on the dash cluster.

Single Channel Auxiliary Light Switch Kit (Without Factory Fog Lights)

This kit is for those that want to add auxiliary lights and control them with a single OE switch.

    • Single Button Function: Auxiliary lights (On/Off)

This kit is designed to turn the lights on by pressing the center of the headlight switch once and to turn the lights off you press it again. This kit is designed to use an OE style headlight switch to power the coil on an aftermarket relay (not included). This kit bypasses the BCM and does not have a low power failsafe (if they are left on) and has no way of indicating that the system is on, it will not display the OEM light indicator on the dash cluster. The system has 3 connections: 12v power, ground, and connection to the positive coil side of a relay.

This kit is for those that want to add two auxiliary circuits and control them both with a single OE switch.

    • Left Button Function: Auxiliary Circuit #1 (On/Off)

This kit is designed to control one channel/relay with the left button and a second channel/relay with the right button. This kit is designed to use an OE style headlight switch to power the coils of (2) separate aftermarket relays (not included). This kit bypasses the BCM and does not have a low power failsafe (if they are left on) and has no way of indicating that the system is on, it will not display the OEM light indicator on the dash cluster. The system has 4 connections: 12v power, ground, and (2) connections to the positive coil side of a relay.

This kit is for those that want to keep their factory installed fog lights operating like normal but also want to add a set of auxiliary lights and control both with a single OE switch.

    • Left Button Function: OEM fog light operation controlled by the BCM, works just like your single button switch.
    • Right Button Function: Auxiliary lights (On/Off)

This kit is designed to allow use of your factory fog light operation along with an addition auxiliary light control. Your factory fog light control (left button) works exactly as your single button switch you currently have. The auxiliary control (right Button) bypasses the BCM and does not have a low power failsafe (if they are left on) and has no way of indicating that the system is on, it will not display any OEM light indicators on the dash cluster.

The auxiliary control has only three connections: 12v power, ground, and connection to the positive coil side of an aftermarket relay. All three connections are only for the auxiliary circuit (right button) the factory fog light control will not change its factory operation. Once installed you can turn the auxiliary circuit on by pressing the right button of the headlight switch once and to turn the lights off you press it again.

This kit is for those that have OE Sports Bar Lights but want to add additional auxiliary lights without changing the OEM Sports Bar lights operation, and control both with a single OE switch.

    • Left Button Function: Auxiliary lights (On/Off)
    • Right Button Function: OEM Sports Bar operation, works as your original single button switch but without the red ring operation if equipped.

This kit is designed to allow use of your OEM Sports Bar lights operation along with an addition auxiliary light control. Your OEM Sports Bar lights control (Right Button) works exactly as your single button switch you currently have. The auxiliary control (Left Button) bypasses the BCM and does not have a low power failsafe (if they are left on) and has no way of indicating that the system is on, it will not display any OEM light indicators on the dash cluster.

The auxiliary control has only three connections: 12v power, ground, and connection to the positive coil side of an aftermarket relay. All three connections are only for the auxiliary circuit (Left Button) the factory fog light control will not change its factory operation. Once installed you can turn the auxiliary circuit on by pressing the right button of the headlight switch once and to turn the lights off you press it again.

Please note that the SCAL-SB kit is NOT designed to retrofit OEM Sport Bar Lights to a truck that doesn’t already have that option from the dealership or factory. The SCAL-SB kit is designed to add a second circuit in addition to a truck with pre-existing factory sport bar lights that were installed from the dealership or factory.

  1. Switch light ring color is blue; switches with a red light ring is not currently available, unless you send us a switch you already have.
  2. This is an off-highway product; please check your local laws on vehicle lighting.
  3. Manufacturer warranties may be void if off-highway lighting products are found to be the cause of damage to your electrical components.
  4. This product must be installed by an experienced professional. Additional skills and steps may not be detailed in the instructions.
